The Western Region Consolidated Business Office provides business office services including billing, collections, cash posting, pre-access management, variance and customer service to our affiliated UHS facilities. We are seeking dynamic and talented individuals to join our team. Job Description:

This position is responsible for supervising, assisting team members, and performing the pre-access functions for scheduled patients, which includes scheduling outpatient procedures, completing the pre-registration and e nsuring comprehensive documentation of coverage details. Accurately verify payor sources to secure all necessary authorizations for hospital services, prior to service.

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent.

College coursework or Associate's Degree is preferred

Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of outpatient/inpatient scheduling or registration experience for acute care hospitals/facilities and one year in a leadership role.­­

Other:

• Possesses knowledge of third-party payers and insurance verification requirements
• Knowledge of scheduling requirements and regulations
• Knowledge of the legal and technical aspects of scheduling and third-party insurance
• Must have knowledge of Medicare rules, regulations, and compliance requirements
• Must have knowledge of PC and programs necessary for patient scheduling
• In depth knowledge of registration procedures
• Strong verbal and written communications skills required.
• Ability to prioritize and perform work in an organized, efficient, and effective manner without constant supervision and direction.
• Organization, communication, management, and interpersonal skills are required.

Technical Skills:

Computer proficiency to include word processing and patient accounting system. Experience in data entry, customer service, collections, and medical terminology.
