Java Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Java Engineer for a Contract with a client in Phoenix, AZ. You will deliver end-to-end software solutions from inception to production while building scalable applications and APIs.

Rate Range: $47/hour to $49/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Java Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Java 8 and Spring Boot frameworks.

• Implement and optimize APIs and database solutions leveraging PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end software solutions from inception to production.

• Ensure code quality and reliability through CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and version control tools like GitHub and Bitbucket.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, applying creative problem-solving and innovative thinking.

• Mentor and guide team members, contributing to platform architecture and best practices.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field.

• Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in Java development.

• Strong proficiency in Java 8 and Spring Boot, with experience in building scalable applications and APIs.

• Practical experience with CI/CD platforms (e.g., GitHub Actions), version control systems (GitHub, Bitbucket), and databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis.

Pay Details: $47.00 to $49.00 per hour
