Job Description
The Outpatient Physical Therapist will evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans according to the patients' needs and goals, as well as physician directives. The therapist will be responsible for directing all therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring functional treatment programs are designed to facilitate effective returns to community activities. This role includes serving as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers while maintaining compliance with the organization's mission and core values.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
- Utilize clinical reasoning to develop treatment plans and patient goals.
- Document all medical records in a clear, accurate, and timely manner.
- Ensure care aligns with physician orders and insurance approvals.
- Participate in the educational development of students under supervision.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and education.
- Adhere to state practice acts and maintain professional licensure.
- Contribute to organizational performance improvement initiatives.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
- Active CPR certification.
- Current and relevant state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- Previous assignments with the agency or Select Medical are highly desired.
