Scale House Attendant

Position Mission:
Control traffic flow in and out of the plant to maintain compliance with MSHA, ADOT, and company policies and to manage the raw materials and customers. This position reports directly to our Dispatch and Security Supervisor.

• Process inbound trucks and assign scales for efficient loading to achieve minimum wait times.
• Perform housekeeping duties as required to ensure a safe, clean work environment and compliance with MSHA regulations.
• Accurately log employees and visitors in and out of the plant using the Raw Materials Inbound Deliveries (RMID program to ensure compliance with MSHA regulations.
• Process and log Bill of Ladings (BOLs) in Excel and file originals to maintain records for different processes in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Perform first aid if required to treat minor wounds until paramedics arrive to ensure the safety of employees.
• Clear the quarry of all working personnel on blast days to ensure the safety of all workers.
• Give site-specific training to new employees and visitors to familiarize them with site hazards and company policies in compliance with MSHA regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
• Patrol the perimeter of the Drake property to maintain site security and ensure all fences are intact
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience working on Microsoft Excel.
• First aid experience is a plus.
• Data Entry on a computer.

Work Environment:

• Security/Scalehouse 75% of the time, the sederatary role is in the guard shack.
• Plant 25% of the time: Extreme heat, cold, noise, vibrations.
• Cement dust exposure.
