Job Description
About us
CRAYDL is a builder-first virtual design construction (VDC) studio that aims to reduce waste and miscommunication for professional builders. The founding team are former design and construction professionals that have been frustrated by incomplete, inaccurate, incomplete information from the design team. Today, we are a team of professionals who share a vision and passion about the value of preconstruction planning done with process rigor, precision and transparency.
Our Vision is to make CRAYDL into the preconstruction platform of choice for builders, interior designers, and developers - and by extension - their customers: to drive alignment between design, constructability and owner expectations.
Our Purpose is to mitigate the typical 20%+ waste that occurs in custom construction by providing the most responsive, transparent and understandable design and support process in the custom design-build industry.
We offer a flexible, hybrid work environment, paid vacations and a 401k with match. We do not offer health insurance at this time. We have an amazing team of humans that really enjoy this journey we are on.
About You:
You are an excellent communicator, with deep experience in delivering project excellence in the luxury custom home development. You are a critical thinker, who holds themselves to high standards and wants to work with other A+ team members. You have experience in collaborating with designers, engineers and city officials for the purpose of delivering preconstruction design documentation. You value transparency, collaboration and being of service to your community. You are upwardly mobile and want to build an exciting career in the VDC space.
Responsibilities:
- Review and QA construction sheets for code compliance, permitting and constructability
- Collaborate with and coordinate outside engineers, designers, architects and consultants to include and manage BIM inputs
- Be a client-facing member of our team, to help create information hubs around complex, primarily residential projects
- Facilitate LiDAR scans of existing conditions
- Drive continuous improvement in service levels
Requirements:
- 6+ years of industry experience, coordinating plan sets throughout development for optimal collaboration.
- 5+ years of experience in developing sheets for permits for remodels and for new builds in the Phoenix metropolitan area.
- Unimpugnable integrity and high level of self awareness.
- A+ communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a distributed team environment.
Our Vision is to make CRAYDL into the preconstruction platform of choice for builders, interior designers, and developers - and by extension - their customers: to drive alignment between design, constructability and owner expectations.
