Overview

CTG is seeking to fill an Engineer II opening for our client in Phoenix, AZ.

Location: Phoenix, AZ
Duration: 12 months

Duties:

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level applications using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.

• Create and maintain RESTful web services and microservices for business applications.

• Perform unit testing using JUnit and ensure high-quality, maintainable code.

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, technical design, development, testing, and deployment.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver new features and enhancements.

• Utilize Jenkins for continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipeline development and maintenance.

• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues and defects in a timely manner.

• Document technical specifications and development procedures.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.

• Strong experience with RESTful Web Services and microservice architecture.

• Hands-on experience with JUnit for unit testing and Jenkins for CI/CD automation.

• Solid knowledge of Oracle databases and SQL.

• Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent collaboration and communication abilities in a fast-paced environment.

Experience:

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in enterprise software development using Java-based technologies.

• At least 1 year of recent experience working with American Express (Amex) is preferred .

• Experience in agile development environments is a plus.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
