We are seeking an experienced Solar Foreman to lead commercial rooftop solar installation projects throughout the Greater Phoenix Valley. As a Solar Foreman, you will oversee daily field operations, manage installation teams, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to design specifications. You will play a critical role in driving project success while helping advance renewable energy initiatives across the region.
Key Responsibilities
Field Leadership & Crew Management
- Lead and supervise a team of 3–4 solar installers on commercial rooftop solar projects.
- Provide daily direction, coaching, and support to ensure productivity and quality performance.
- Foster a positive, accountable, and safety-focused work environment.
Project Execution
- Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, electrical schematics, and technical drawings.
- Coordinate daily work activities, manpower, materials, tools, and equipment to maintain project schedules.
- Perform hands-on installation work as needed, including racking systems, module installation, and basic electrical components.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and industry safety standards.
- Conduct site safety reviews and promote best practices across all project activities.
- Maintain clean, organized, and secure job sites at all times.
Quality Control
- Perform ongoing inspections and quality checks throughout the installation process.
- Verify that all work meets project specifications, company standards, and customer expectations.
- Address and resolve field issues efficiently to keep projects moving forward.
Communication & Coordination
- Provide regular project updates to project managers and leadership teams.
- Communicate challenges, schedule impacts, and resource needs in a timely and professional manner.
- Support project success by collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of commercial solar construction experience .
- Previous experience leading, supervising, or managing installation crews in a field environment.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical documentation.
- Hands-on experience with commercial rooftop solar installation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of solar construction methods, equipment, and industry best practices.
- Ability to work safely at heights and in varying weather conditions.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in solar, construction, mechanical, or related skilled trades.
- Experience working on commercial rooftop construction projects.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety requirements and construction site safety protocols.
- Ability to adapt to multiple project locations and changing site conditions.
- Experience coordinating crews, schedules, and project resources.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, and move construction materials and equipment.
- Frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, and prolonged standing.
- Comfortable working on rooftops and elevated surfaces.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.

Work Environment
This position is based primarily on commercial rooftop construction sites throughout the Greater Phoenix Valley, starting with a project in Scottsdale. Project assignments may vary based on business needs and installation schedules. The work environment is fast-paced, team-oriented, and focused on safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Phoenix, AZ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.00 - $35.00/hr.
