About the Manager, Organ Referral Optimization
Provides day-to-day operational leadership and management of the Organ Referral Optimization department. Manages staffing and operations related to organ referral intake and referral monitoring. Supports timely and effective referral response and donation conversations that result in authorization for organ, tissue, and eye donation.
Oversight, supervision, and coaching to the Referral Optimization staff. Ensures adequate staffing levels and training per DNA policies, as well as regulatory and affiliated agency standards. Develops, recommends, and implements staff scheduling program and process to ensure optimal assignment of staff that maximizes conversion of referrals into donation opportunities. Annual staff performance reviews and quarterly employee check-ins.
Implements all aspects of effective utilization and management of phone systems and EMR systems, as well as the onsite activity of referral staff.
Partners with Director of Referral Optimization in the formulation of overall department strategy, tactics, goals, and priorities.
Participates with the leadership team in developing organizational and cross-departmental strategies to maximize donation and transplantation.
Performs policy development, implementation, revision and obsoletion as needed for the department. Develops policies in collaboration with the other departments within Donor Network of Arizona.
Ensures effective referral management including (but not limited to) assessing each referral potential and consulting the optimal resources at the right times to maximize conversion of referrals to donation.
Daily operational information, staff meetings, facilitating staff feedback and suggestions.
Performs review and approval process for department expenses.
Makes recommendations to the Director of Referral Optimization and Vice President of Clinical Services for process improvement projects, as supported by Quality and Regulatory Compliance and Business Intelligence.
Requirements
*This is an onsite position- Candidates must reside in AZ, or be willing to relocate*
• Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum Experience:
3 years’ experience in an Organ Procurement Organization (OPO)
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a leadership role
General knowledge of Biological Sciences
Strategic planning experience
Talent & Performance management experience
Preferred:
Certified Procurement Transplant Coordinator (CPTC).
Project Management Certification (PMP).
