Senior Project / Program Manager
The Company
We’re Tallwave, a digital agency. We’re a curious, competitive group of data-driven marketers, designers, and creative problem solvers who move fast to help our clients achieve their most ambitious goals. We find parity boring, and we’re constantly challenging ourselves to deliver innovative solutions with speed, precision, and impeccable craftsmanship. We dream big, we drive results, and we’ll make a lasting impact on our clients’ businesses.
Our ambitions are too big to leave room for individual egos, and the true measure of our success is what we can accomplish together. Our culture balances individual aspirations and accountability with each other. We value selflessness, humility, and tremendous work ethic. This drives an inspiration and dedication that can be felt across the organization.
The Person
Tallwave seeks out individuals who are a cut above. Their exceptional skill, diverse perspectives, obsession for winning together, and relentless pursuit of continuous self-improvement, both professionally and personally, give them an innate ability to lead, innovate, and inspire. They have well-honed philosophies and points of view in their areas of expertise, they think unconventionally, and their endless curiosity pushes them to constantly explore, learn, improve, and try new things.
The Job
We’re looking for a Senior Project / Program Manager to lead cross-functional teams and drive complex, multi-workstream programs —with a strong emphasis on strategic go-to-market (GTM) initiatives . In this role, you’ll own program outcomes from early discovery and strategic planning through launch and optimization. You’ll connect the dots across stakeholders, workstreams, budgets, timelines, and dependencies—ensuring delivery is predictable, quality is high, and value is realized.
You’ll serve as a key partner to client leaders and Tallwave teams, bringing structure and momentum to ambiguous problem spaces, turning strategy into executable plans, and guiding teams through high-visibility launches. This is a fully remote position.
The Skills
The successful Senior Project / Program Manager candidate will:
Program Leadership & GTM Delivery
- Lead end-to-end delivery of multi-workstream programs across digital marketing, brand, product, strategy, and consulting engagements.
- Drive GTM planning and execution , including launch readiness, integrated timelines, stakeholder alignment, and post-launch measurement.
- Partner with strategy and client leadership to translate business objectives into a clear program approach, roadmap, and release plan.
- Establish program governance: operating cadence, decision forums, status reporting, and executive communications.
Planning, Roadmaps & Execution
- Build and maintain program roadmaps, workstream charters, integrated project plans, scopes, timelines, budgets, and resourcing models.
- Manage dependencies across teams (strategy, creative, UI/UX, product design, analytics, engineering, and media) to keep work unblocked and moving.
Facilitate Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models (PI planning, sprint planning, backlog management, milestone planning, and delivery rituals). - Ensure delivery across phases—from discovery to build to launch—meets strategic intent, user needs, and quality standards.
Stakeholder Leadership & Client Partnership
- Serve as a primary client lead for program operations: expectation-setting, transparency, and proactive communication.
- Lead working sessions and executive readouts; create clarity on priorities, decisions, risks, and tradeoffs.
- Align diverse stakeholder groups (marketing, product, analytics, creative, engineering, and leadership) toward shared outcomes and timelines.
Risk, Change & Continuous Improvement
- Identify and manage risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies; drive mitigation plans and escalate effectively.
- Manage scope and change control—balancing speed, quality, and budget while maintaining trust and momentum.
- Oversee third-party partners and vendors, holding them accountable to delivery, timelines, and quality.
- Improve how we deliver: evolve processes, templates, tools, and ways of working to raise the bar across the agency.
Your Background
- 6 – 8+ years leading complex programs/projects, ideally in an advertising, consulting, or digital agency environment.
- Proven track record leading strategic programs with GTM planning and launch execution (cross-functional, multi-phase, high visibility).
- Strong understanding of digital marketing ecosystems, including analytics/data, customer experience, and UI/UX.
- Deep experience building and managing integrated plans, budgets, resourcing, and multi-team dependencies.
- Expertise with project/program management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, JIRA, Asana ).
- Strong communication skills: can synthesize complexity, drive decisions, and influence across levels—from team leads to executives.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity; proactive about creating structure, clarity, and accountability.
- Calm under pressure, strong prioritization instincts, and able to balance competing demands.
- Passionate about elevating teams, improving delivery systems, and creating repeatable, scalable ways of working.
