Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Caregiver / Medication Technician (Med Tech) to join our team in an assisted living community in Arizona. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for providing high-quality care in a supportive and respectful environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure that medication administration complies with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all medications, treatment plans, and related activities, following all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with preparing for and responding to audits or inspections by regulatory agencies, ensuring full compliance with all safety and medication handling procedures.
Qualifications:
Education and Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- CPR and First Aid certification (required).
- Current Certified Arizona Caregiver Certification issued from the AZ Board of nursing (required).
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Caregiver / Medication Technician, preferably in an assisted living or long-term care environment.
- Experience with medication administration, resident care, documentation, and regulatory compliance in a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of Arizona’s assisted living regulations and best practices for medication management and care.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
- Compassionate and patient, with a dedication to providing quality care for residents.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
- This position involves working in a residential assisted living facility, with regular interaction with residents and staff.
- Physical tasks may include bending, lifting, and assisting residents with mobility as needed.
- The position may require occasional evening, weekend, or holiday shifts to ensure the facility is properly staffed and residents’ medication needs are met.
