The Job at a Glance
As the Director of Fulfillment Operations (AKA: Director, OEM Parts Wrangler), you will go the extra mile to ensure we meet the demands of our rapidly expanding Distribution Center. You will be a role model for Parts Town’s Values and will lead the evolution of systems, automation, people, and processes as Parts Town’s growth continues. You will oversee all aspects of order processing including Picking, Packing, Assembly, and Loading Operations in addition to Freight shipping. Additional responsibilities include the development and execution of a daily operating plan, ensuring fulfillment operations are run in an efficient manner and that quality, productivity and safety goals are met.
A Typical Day
- Provide leadership to the order processing team in a high-volume, same day shipping, automated operation
- Plan and monitor performance each day to ensure safe, accurate and efficient operations
- Lead by example in supporting Safety as a core value.
- Provide cross-training and skill development to a large team of Managers, Supervisors, Leads, and hourly team members
- Lead automated distribution process improvement and optimization
- Oversee that all team members are provided adequate training and resources needed to succeed in every role, and coordinate this process with Supervisors and Human Resources
- Partner with Senior Leadership Team on development and execution of company goals and strategies that support continued EBITDA growth
To Land This Opportunity
- You have 5+ years of experience in high volume Distribution Center (bonus points if you worked in an automated DC)
- You have a minimum of 3 years in a manager or higher role along with a backpack of knowledge (a degree) in Operations, Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain Management
- You naturally lead by example and never fully separate yourself from the day-to-day operation.
- You enjoy motivating your team to reach new production goals. You thrive on change management and enjoy keeping up with a fast-growing environment
- You excel in process improvement methodologies (bonus points if you practice Lean or Six Sigma) including visual management
- You’re a go-to for developing and managing productivity, have an analytical mind, and take data-driven steps to understand and solve problems
- You’re the owner of Pick-Pack-Ship process flow and you consider yourself a master of its organization
- You’ve built staffing models to meet budget targets and trackers to ensure daily operating goals are met
- You have a solid level of understanding of UPS including small parcel and freight shipment processing - it’s a plus if you’ve worked with transportation management!
- You display empathy, understanding, and patience with employees and external customers
- You’re experienced in and enjoy working with MS Office!
- You have the ability to continuously move around on a concrete surface
- You’re an all-star communicator and are fluent in English (both written and verbal)
- You thrive in 10:30 am-7:00 pm schedule

The salary range for this role is $138,901.99 – $187,926.22 annually which is based on including but not limited to qualifications, experience, and geographical location. Parts Town is a pay for performance-company. In addition to base pay, some roles offer a profit-sharing program, and an annual bonus depending on the role. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) with match, employee assistance programs, paid time off, paid sick time off, paid holidays, paid parental leave, and professional development opportunities.
