About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12.5 Experience: Minimum of 24 months in Progressive Care Unit with recent experience in the last 12 months License: Active license to practice Certifications: BLS (AHA) ACLS (AHA) Must-Have: No hits on state license to practice Driver's license to verify residency Description: The Resource Float Pool is a diversely skilled team that floats throughout multiple campuses to provide support where necessary. The primary campus has approximately 16 Adult Health units with patients ranging from Observation to Med Surg and Progressive Care. Travelers in the Progressive Care Unit may be floated to any of these units during their contract. Occasionally, they may be floated to the Emergency Department or Post Anesthesia Care Unit to take Adult Health patients with inpatient orders waiting on a bed on a unit, although this is not common. There are additional campuses within a short driving distance that also have Adult Health units they may float to. Candidates must be flexible regarding locations, shifts, and departments to expedite the hiring process. All candidates should be prepared to start on the listed start date or within one week. Request time off cannot exceed seven days and cannot occur during the first week of assignment. All submitted candidates should be pre-closed and ready to accept the position. It is essential to review compliance requirements thoroughly. Active certifications from approved vendors must be up to date. A PCU skills checklist must be completed within the last 12 months. Candidates are encouraged to be flexible with available shifts and departments for consideration.
