Class A License Drivers Home Weekly - Training
18 Wheels Logistics USA seeks experienced and recent Class A CDL drivers for full-time W-2 positions. Assignments include over-the-road (OTR), regional, and dedicated runs with an emphasis on predictable home time, steady freight, and operation of late-model equipment. Eligible recent CDL school graduates may qualify for a fully paid Class A training program.
Primary responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies.
- Transport predominantly no-touch dry van freight with a high percentage of drop-and-hook operations across assigned geographic lanes (primarily east of Interstate 35 or as assigned).
- Manage schedules to meet pickup and delivery commitments and maintain on-time performance.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records, trip reports, and driver vehicle inspection reports (DVIRs).
- Perform and document daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report mechanical defects or service needs promptly.
- Communicate professionally and promptly with dispatch, customers, trainers, and team members regarding schedules, route changes, and operational issues.
Minimum qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL or recent CDL school graduate with a minimum of 120 hours of instruction eligible for company-sponsored training.
- Satisfactory driving record demonstrating a consistent commitment to safety.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and pre-employment drug screen.
- Strong attention to safety, reliability, and professionalism.
- Basic mechanical awareness and familiarity with pre-trip inspection procedures preferred.
Training and progression
- Fully paid three- to five-week Class A training program available for eligible recent CDL school graduates, combining behind-the-wheel instruction and classroom coverage of safe tractor-trailer operation, compliant ELD use, trip reporting, inspections, cargo securement, and company procedures.
- Progression to solo assignments based on supervised driving, competency assessments, and demonstrated adherence to company standards.
- Ongoing mentorship and driver support to promote safe performance and career development.
Compensation and benefits
- Weekly pay range: $1,400 to $1,800 (direct deposit weekly); actual compensation depends on experience and assignment.
