Position Summary

The Director of Field Operations is responsible for leading and overseeing all roofing field execution activities within an assigned POD. This role establishes and enforces field execution standards while providing hands-on leadership to Superintendents and field teams to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in strict alignment with company standards, manufacturer requirements, and project specifications.

The Director plays a critical role in maintaining operational discipline, developing field leadership talent, and delivering consistent, high-quality roofing installations across all job sites.

What You’ll Lead

• Provide leadership and oversight for Superintendents and roofing field teams across multiple projects
• Establish and enforce installation standards, workmanship expectations, and execution discipline
• Drive production performance, manpower planning, and schedule accountability
• Champion a strong safety culture and enforce OSHA and company safety standards
• Ensure roofing systems are installed according to manufacturer specifications and warranty requirements
• Oversee material logistics, jobsite readiness, and field productivity
• Coordinate closely with Project Managers and POD leadership to maintain alignment on schedule, manpower, and project needs
• Ensure accurate field reporting, inspections, progress tracking, and documentation
• Mentor and develop Superintendents and Foremen to strengthen field leadership
• Oversee punch lists, corrective work, and final project closeout

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years of commercial roofing experience
• 5+ years leading roofing crews, Superintendents, field operations or multiple projects
• Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, PVC, BUR, modified, coatings, metal)
• Proven ability to lead teams, enforce installation standards, and drive production performance
• Strong problem-solving, planning, and leadership capabilities
• Experience using field reporting and inspection applications
• OSHA 30 certification
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel

Travel
