Accounts Payable Specialist- Tolleson, AZ! POST NUMBER: 474891

Phoenix, AZ
Vaco is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for a top client in Tolleson, AZ. This Accounts Payable Specialist must have experience with processing high volume invoices as well as assisting with month and close duties. This is a fully onsite position paying up to $26 per hour.

Responsibilities:
  • Process invoices (PO and non-PO), credit memos, and debit memos
  • Review and verify vendor invoices for accuracy and timely processing
  • Prepare and process payments, including checks and ACH
  • Manage invoice holds, clear retentions, and process approved invoices
  • Research and resolve invoice, payment, and vendor issues independently
  • Monitor the AP inbox, respond to inquiries, and escalate urgent matters
  • Provide documentation and support for audits
  • Assist with month-end closing tasks
  • Support process improvements and automation efforts within Accounts Payable
Requirements :
  • Experience with basic Microsoft apps, Excel skills a plus
  • Experience with prior job cost accounting/construction industry a plus
  • Excellent customer service skills both internally and externally
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
