Discover an exciting contract opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students as a Special Education Teacher. Multiple full-time positions are available across elementary, middle, and high school settings in locations near Glendale and Phoenix, AZ. These roles offer structured schedules and the chance to support students with diverse educational needs.
Openings span a range of settings, including Connections programs for Grades 5–6, resource rooms focused on ELA, structured self-contained classrooms, and unique transition/pathways self-contained classrooms for students aged 18–22 gaining life skills. Each position promises collaboration, growth, and the support of experienced educators.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current Special Education Certificate meeting AZ Department of Education requirements
- Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Experience working with elementary, middle, or high school students with special needs is a plus
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive classroom environments
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction aligned with IEP goals
- Plan and adapt curriculum to meet students’ unique needs
- Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and professional development
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families
- Support students in achieving academic, behavioral, and life skills milestones
- Participate in school-related activities and initiatives to foster student success
