Vice President, Business Development

The Vice President, Business Development (VPBD) has the primary responsibility to develop new business for NewGround's product and service offering. The ideal candidate must have exceptional presentation and communications skills, both verbal and written, and must be able to build strong client and strategic partner relationships. The VPBD must also be able to demonstrate their ability to balance the demands of both their professional and personal lives.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Generate new business across NewGround's full suite of offerings, including branding, strategy, design, construction management, retail communications, and digital media.
- Achieve annual individual sales targets established by leadership through disciplined pipeline development and execution.
- Create and maintain a written territory strategy outlining growth priorities, market focus, and pursuit plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely CRM records, including call activity, forecasts, and opportunity tracking.
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients and NewGround's development teams, ensuring strong communication and alignment throughout pursuits.
- Develop and deliver compelling proposals and project development agreements that advance opportunities toward close.
- Document client meetings through timely and thorough meeting summaries.
- Build and steward client relationships throughout the project development lifecycle.
- Provide bi-weekly updates on all active opportunities in the project development pipeline.
- Represent NewGround at selected state and national industry conferences and events.
- Prepare monthly sales forecasts and key account reports to inform leadership and territory strategy.
- Maintain relationships with former clients within the territory through structured semi-annual outreach.
- Perform additional related duties as needed in support of business development objectives.
EXPECTATIONS
- Travel 2-3 nights per week as necessary to effectively manage assigned territory.
- Demonstrate dynamic interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Maintain a goal-oriented, performance-driven focus on results.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREREQUISITES
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of five years of experience delivering strategic, consultative solutions with a demonstrated record of success.
- Prior business development experience within the financial industry, including work with banks and credit unions, strongly preferred.
