Job Summary
The Assistant F&B Manager is a premier leadership role responsible for the seamless execution of front-of-house operations across all dining outlets, member catering, and club events. As an ambassador of Silverleaf, you will lead by example to create memorable experiences, anticipating member needs and exceeding expectations while maximizing departmental profitability.
Qualification Standards
Experience: Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in a luxury private club, resort, or high-end dining environment.
Education: 4-year college degree preferred (or industry equivalent).
Skills: Expertise in five-star service standards (casual and fine dining), wine knowledge, and staff training. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and POS systems.
Certifications: CPR/1st Aid, Food Safety, and Alcohol Education (must be acquired upon employment).
Physical: Ability to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Comfort working in various weather conditions (indoor/outdoor) and flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
Service Excellence & Member Relations
Maintain a constant management presence "on the floor" during peak periods (11 am–2 pm and 6 pm–9 pm) to ensure 5-star standards.
Utilize the member preference program to personalize service and anticipate needs.
Handle member feedback and complaints with grace, objectivity, and immediate resolution.
Oversee event files and meet with members during banquets to ensure flawless execution.
Operational Leadership
Team Development: Lead the hiring, training, coaching, and scheduling of all F&B front-of-house staff.
Staff Inspiration: Conduct daily pre-service meetings to inform and inspire the team; manage the F&B Internship Program.
Facility Management: "Inspect what you expect" through continuous walk-throughs to ensure immaculate facility standards and coordinate necessary repairs.
Support: Step into service roles (Server, Bartender, Banquet Lead) during high-traffic periods to support the team.
Financial & Administrative Oversight
Manage payroll, service charge distributions, and daily time-clock reconciliations.
Collaborate with the F&B Manager and Executive Chef to monitor expenses, COGS, and labor budgets.
Drive revenue through staff training in suggestive selling and the implementation of F&B marketing programs.
Manage inventory control for all F&B equipment and supplies.
