Job Title: Finance Assistant

Position Summary:
The Finance Assistant supports the Finance Department by handling daily accounting tasks with a focus on Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and bank reconciliations. This role ensures accuracy in financial records, timely processing of payments and receipts, and supports the overall efficiency of the finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process Accounts Payable transactions, including invoice entry, verification, coding, and payment preparation.
• Manage Accounts Receivable by preparing and sending customer statements, and following up on outstanding balances.
• Assist finance team with preparing, issuing and tracking customer invoices.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy between company records and bank statements.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records, files, and documentation.
• Respond to vendor and customer inquiries regarding billing and payment issues.
• Support the Finance Manager with reporting and projects as needed.
• Oversee company credit cards, loan accounts, and Positive Pay reporting, ensuring smooth financial operations and compliance.
• Support financial operations by serving as backup to the Finance Manager and assisting with various finance related tasks.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or general accounting support role preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and MS Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
