And we do it all with heart, each and every day. **Position Summary** The Senior Engineering Manager of Digital Engineering is responsible for leading back-end engineering teams in their efforts to create exceptional member experiences. This role focuses on identifying, prioritizing, and shaping complex enterprise initiatives in collaboration with our business stakeholders. As the Senior Engineering Manager, you will guide teams of engineers in delivering our digital services that enhance healthcare's cost transparency for members using our web and native applications. You will also oversee the migration of data and services from legacy infrastructure to the cloud, while integrating emerging AI and agentic technologies to further improve our offerings. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering innovation and ensuring the successful execution of our digital transformation initiatives. This position also entails providing leadership, coaching, and strategic guidance to application development teams. You will play a pivotal role in leading the digital engineering teams responsible for back-end service development, data migration, micro-services, and emerging AI technologies. With your technical expertise and people management skills, you will support, manage, and mentor engineering professionals with diverse backgrounds and experiences. You will also influence the strategic roadmaps for future initiatives and collaborate with business partners to ensure alignment with business initiatives and objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong prioritization skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven history of successful product delivery. You should also demonstrate exceptional software engineering expertise along with effective people management skills. A successful candidate will be a highly motivated and collaborative individual, eager to achieve results in a fast-paced environment. *This position is open to multiple CVS locations for hybrid or fully remote anywhere in the USA. **Required Qualifications:** + 7+ years of software development experience, with a focus on enterprise-level solutions and cloud technologies. + 2+ years of experience leading large cross-functional project management initiatives, including microservices, event-driven architectures, and streaming platforms like Apache Kafka. + 2+ years of experience with Agile/Scrum practices. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Proven experience managing large teams effectively. + Advanced communication and presentation skills to represent your team to stakeholders and management. + Proficiency in modern technology stacks, with a strong understanding of cloud design and architecture for one or more public cloud providers, preferably AWS, to deliver large-scale distributed solutions across the entire enterprise stack. + Strong understanding of supporting products in agile environments, particularly in how current and future work is scheduled through planning, design, engineering, and third-party validation efforts. + Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Teams or Slack. **Additional Responsibilities:** + Take ownership of product or platform features. + Successfully lead teams, projects, or initiatives in various contexts. + Drive execution by organizing teamwork, setting goals, and holding the team accountable. + Monitor and resolve issues related to team pace and workflow. + Coach leaders reporting to you on effective management practices. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, architecture, and operations, using agile methodologies. **Education:** + Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience. **Pay Range** The typical pay range for this role is: $106,605.00 - $260,590.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
