Are you ready to help us make the future? Seeking Mechanical Design Engineer I with technical, business and financial acumen who will report to Snr. Engineering Manager within the Global Engineering Services (GES) team. As a Site Repair Development Engineer, will be responsible for providing extensive mechanical aftermarket product design knowledge and experience relating to Engines and Power Systems (E&PS) and Mechanical System and Components (MS&C) products. Will be required to lead novel, Bigger, Bolder, Faster and Make it Happen engineering projects relating to Productivity, Cost takeout, Value Engineering and Workscope standardization programs to ensure that business objectives are achieved through Product Design improvements. Key Responsibilities- Product focused and add value by changing the current design to support business objectives
- Ensure a disciplined and data driven approach is utilized for technical decisions
- Support GES productivity goals utilizing the Value Creation Process
- Drive GES material savings financial acumen to ensure productivity compliance
- Develop innovative repair designs to restore Aftermarket parts
- Operate as a team member in Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma and Honeywell Operating System (HOS)
- Establish a technical interface between Honeywell customer support representatives and customers
- Partner with our customers to identify and execute actions to drives future growth opportunities

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.
YOU MUST HAVE- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics
- Master's Degree in engineering, Science or Business
- Six Sigma Green Belt, Design for Six Sigma, Black Belt/MBB or Lean Expert/Lean Master certifications
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills, able to interface with all professional and technical disciplines within a repair environment
- Program Management experience
- Advanced communications/presentation/ leadership/people skills are essential
- Strong experience presenting projects to executive level leadership
- Intimately familiar with FAA Aftermarket regulations
- Ability to think big, bold, courageous, challenges conventional wisdom and legacy practices

- Technical/ R&O engineering management skills
- Ability to negotiate contracts/agreements with customers at a high level
- Partner with Engineering and ISC leaders in executing leaner/faster processes to achieve AOP and Strategic Plan objectives
- Establish and execute on clear goals to achieve significant cost, quality, delivery and productivity improvements - “Bigger, Bolder, Faster”
