Between The Lines is a specialty baseball and softball retailer built by ballplayers, for ballplayers. We are seeking a Glove Re-Lacer / Retail Associate to provide professional glove relacing and break-in services while also assisting customers in-store.

This role combines hands-on glove work with customer service and retail responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Glove Relacing & Break-In

• Perform full and partial glove re-laces

• Repair broken or worn laces

• Perform professional glove break-ins to ensure proper pocket formation and on-field readiness

• Evaluate gloves and recommend appropriate repair or service options

• Maintain consistent, high-quality craftsmanship

• Communicate repair timelines clearly with customers and staff

Retail & Customer Service

• Greet and assist customers in a professional, friendly manner

• Help players select gloves and equipment based on age, position, and level

• Educate customers on glove care and break-in methods

• Operate the POS and process transactions accurately

• Balance relacing duties with assisting customers during busy periods

• Maintain a clean and organized work and sales area

Qualifications

• Prior glove relacing experience required

• Strong knowledge of baseball and softball equipment

• Customer service or retail experience preferred

• Comfortable interacting with players, parents, and coaches

• Detail-oriented with pride in workmanship

• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

Schedule & Pay

• Part-time hours with flexible scheduling

• Competitive hourly pay based on experience

Don't have Glove Relacing experience, but your someone thats passionate about baseball or softball and who enjoys working with players, families, and teams?

We are seeking Part-Time Retail Associates to support in-store operations while also assisting with out-of-store events when needed , such as team fittings, demos, and community baseball events.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and provide a welcoming in-store experience

• Assist players and parents with selecting the correct equipment and apparel

• Ask questions to understand player age, league, position, and needs

• Explain product features, sizing, and care

• Operate the POS system and process transactions accurately

• Assist with stocking, merchandising, and maintaining store organization

• Support new product launches, promotions, and in-store events

• Assist with out-of-store events as needed (team fittings, demos, community events)

• Help keep the store clean, organized, and professional at all times

Qualifications

• Baseball or softball experience strongly preferred

• Customer service or retail experience a plus

• Comfortable communicating with players, parents, and coaches

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

• Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented

• Ability to work evenings and weekends

• Reliable transportation for occasional off-site events

Schedule & Pay

• Part-time hours (evenings and weekends required)

• Competitive hourly pay based on experience
