RN Med Surg / Telemetry – Nights
Location: Arizona (Floating to Mesa as needed)
Pay: $2000/week
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Schedule: Every Other Weekend (EOW)
Duration: 13 Weeks (extension possible)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Med Surg/Telemetry RN with strong clinical fundamentals and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment. This role requires flexibility to float between facilities and confidence in cardiac monitoring.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN License (AZ or Compact)
• BLS & ACLS Certification – Required
• Minimum 1–2 years of Med Surg/Tele experience
• Strong dysrhythmia interpretation skills (exam required)
• Driver’s License required at submission

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for Med Surg and Telemetry patients
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms
• Manage post-surgical patients (e.g., appendectomy, cholecystectomy)
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient care planning
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR
• Float to sister facility in Mesa as needed

Work Environment

• Unit: 16-bed Med Surg/Telemetry
• Patient population: Post-surgical, general Med Surg, Telemetry
• Telemetry monitoring available
• RT support 24/7; Pharmacy support (remote after 6 PM)
• No IV team – RN autonomy required

Schedule & Requirements

• 12-hour night shifts (7p–7a)
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday rotation (A/B schedule)
• Floating required to sister facility (Mesa)
• Orientation: 2 days

Important Notes

• Must pass dysrhythmia exam (≥80%) within 2 attempts prior to contract
• Sim Lab (Pass/Fail) required on Day 1 of orientation
• Radius Rule: 50 miles (no recent employment with CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity within 1 year)
