Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement, could be every 3rd weekend
• Holiday schedule integrated into permanent staff rotation
• 28-bed Tele Neuro unit with 1:4 patient ratio
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Must have Cerner experience and travel experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Must pass UNA Dysrhythmia Exam prior to signing contract (2 maximum attempts)
• Pass/fail simulation lab on first day of orientation
• Floor-specific orientation includes 3 shifts on the unit
• Navy scrubs required
• Must be able to interpret EKGs using GE monitors
• Floating required to Cardiac Tele and/or MedSurg Oncology units
• May float to sister facility CRMC
• Care for patients with CVA post TPA, TIAs, head bleeds, carotids, thoracotomies, AICDs, and post-surgical patients requiring telemetry monitoring
• Work with basic drips requiring titration
• Charge nurse available who does not take patients
• Nurse aides available on unit
• 24/7 intensivist, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy support available
