Office Administrator
Administrative Professional – Construction Industry Preferred
Pay Range: $23.00 – $28.00/hr DOE
Location: Phoenix, AZ (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
Start: ASAP
We’re looking for a polished and collaborative Administrative Professional to join a busy Phoenix office. This role combines front office responsibilities with payroll, subcontractor insurance, and general office support — perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, construction-related environment.
What You’ll Do
- Be the face and voice of the office : answer phones, greet clients and subcontractors, and maintain a professional presence
- Payroll : Support in processing weekly payroll for ~30 craftsmen and every-other-week payroll for ~31 office employees (accuracy and urgency are key)
- Assist with subcontractor insurance tracking and documentation
- Provide administrative support in Word and Excel: correspondence, scheduling, filing, reporting
- Support two onsite VPs with occasional administrative tasks (not a full EA role)
- Distribute mail, process credit card expenses, and keep office spaces tidy (kitchen, training rooms, shared areas)
- Restock supplies and coordinate with vendors for office needs
What We’re Looking For
- 2–3+ years of administrative experience (construction and payroll experience strongly preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong communication skills — professional, clear, and approachable
- Collaborative, open, and friendly personality — able to work well with a variety of people
- Professional and polished — comfortable representing the office with clients, subcontractors, and visitors
- Organized, proactive, and able to juggle multiple priorities
- No degree required — experience and personality fit are most important
