Shayne R. Neuwirth has an exciting opportunity for a well-qualified Tax Accountant to join our incredible team.
We are looking for a motivated individual who is ready to put their problem solving and organizational skills to work. Our Accountant will prepare Personal, Business, and Fiduciary tax returns. The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in Accounting, proficient in tax regulations, is tech savvy and has a good understanding of the role.

What will you be doing?

• Prepare Personal, Business, and Fiduciary Tax Returns
• Understand and review financial statements for accuracy and legal compliance
• Support and manage staff and clients on all sides of accounting
• Answer and respond to phone calls, emails and all other points of communication to assure quality and timely service
• Prepare and file tax returns
• Provide reports and prepare documentation for external auditors
• Provide tax-savings opportunities that can be implemented immediately
• Enter accounting related information into business logs
• Organize and update financial records

Who are we looking for?

• Bachelor's degree in accounting - CPA a plus, but not required
• 2+ years experience in business and individual tax preparation
• Strong understanding of US tax regulations
• Detailed-oriented, able to multi-task, be self-motivated, accurate, and conscientious.
• Diligent and able to complete tasks successfully and on time
• Proficient in tax preparation software. Drake experience preferred
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to read and analyze financial reports

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
