About the Role

The Director of Patient Financial Services is a strategic and performance driven leader responsible for building and leading a high-performing team that helps patients confidently navigate the financial aspects of fertility care. This role leads a consultative team that partners with patients to understand treatment costs, insurance coverage, and financing options while supporting clinic growth and revenue integrity. The Director will bring structure, accountability, and a solutions-oriented approach to the patient financial journey.

This leader will be responsible for developing the strategy, performance framework, and operating model for Patient Financial Services across the network, ensuring patients receive clear guidance while clinics achieve strong financial outcomes.

We are seeking a collaborative and data-driven leader who can develop teams, improve conversion and financial clearance rates, and continuously enhance the patient financial experience to join our dedicated team at Pinnacle Fertility in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Patient Financial Services team across the network.
  • Establish a consultative approach that helps patients understand treatment costs, insurance coverage, and financial options.
  • Drive performance through clearly defined KPIs including conversion rates, financial clearance timelines, patient satisfaction, and collections.
  • Build a structured performance culture through coaching, development, and accountability.
  • Design and implement incentive and performance programs that align team outcomes with patient experience and revenue goals.
  • Oversee insurance verification, benefits interpretation, authorizations, and financial clearance processes.
  • Partner closely with clinic leadership, operations, and revenue cycle teams to support clinic growth and financial performance.
  • Standardize financial counseling workflows, policies, and procedures across the network.
  • Use data and reporting to identify opportunities to improve patient access, financial clarity, and treatment conversion.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex patient financial scenarios.
  • Ensure compliance with payer requirements, regulatory standards, and internal policies.
  • Provide regular reporting and operational insights to leadership on team performance and financial trends.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance both patient experience and financial outcomes.

Position Requirements

  • Education
    • Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in healthcare administration, finance, business, or related field preferred.

Experience and Skills

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in healthcare financial services, revenue cycle, patient financial services, or consultative healthcare environments.
  • At least 3–5 years of leadership experience managing and developing performance driven teams.
  • Strong understanding of insurance benefits, authorizations, and patient financial responsibility.
  • Experience building structured processes, performance frameworks, and scalable workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach teams and drive measurable performance improvements.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to balance patient advocacy with operational and financial outcomes.
  • Fertility or specialty healthcare experience preferred.
