Overview:

A precision manufacturing organization is seeking a Swiss CNC Professional (Expert Level) to support advanced machining operations within a high-performance production environment. This is a hands-on, subject matter expert role focused on optimizing Swiss CNC machining, process efficiency, and production quality.

This individual will serve as a key technical resource responsible for enhancing multi-axis Swiss lathe operations, driving process improvements, and supporting overall shop performance in a tight-tolerance manufacturing setting.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Perform setup, programming, operation, and troubleshooting of Swiss CNC lathes (multi-axis, Tornos or similar platforms)
  
• Optimize machining processes, including tooling selection, feeds and speeds, cycle time reduction, and process standardization
  
• Analyze and improve workflow efficiency, production throughput, and lean manufacturing processes
  
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) to execute precise machining operations
  
• Execute hands-on CNC machining while serving as a technical lead and floor-level expert
  
• Adjust tool offsets, machine parameters, and cutting strategies to maintain tight tolerances and surface finish requirements
  
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and production teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives
  
• Support training, mentorship, and knowledge transfer for internal machinists and operators
  
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, inspection processes, and regulated manufacturing requirements

What We’re Looking For:

• Extensive experience in Swiss CNC machining (multi-axis turning, complex part production)
  Strong expertise with Swiss-style lathes (Tornos preferred or equivalent platforms)
  Proven ability in machine setup, programming, and independent operation of complex CNC equipment
  Experience with Fanuc controls or similar CNC control systems
  Deep understanding of tooling, offsets, feeds/speeds, cutting parameters, and machining strategies
  Advanced ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T specifications
  Experience with precision measurement tools and in-process quality inspection
  Background in aerospace, medical device, or high-precision manufacturing environments preferred
  Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills in a production setting
  Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on machine shop environment and quickly deliver impact as a technical expert
