Barista

Job Details:

Provide timely, accurate and friendly service while preparing the highest quality traditional espresso beverages for our guests.

Job duties but not limited to:

• Take beverage orders from guests and servers.
• General upkeep of retail merchandise presentation and inventory organization.
• Prepare and serve coffee, cortado, americano, latte and cappuccino based on standard recipes.
• Recommends coffee flavor profiles to customers.
• Possess full knowledge in local roasters and tea offerings that we feature.
• Participate in a culture of innovation by contributing ideas for house and seasonal coffee and tea beverages.
• Learns the names and personally recognize our regular guests.
• Takes ownership the coffee bar and maintains cleanliness in all areas including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves, and storage areas.
• Taking care of our guests using our methods for delivering contagious hospitality.

The perfect candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Must have exceptional grooming habits.
• Comfortable working early morning hours a must.
• One year of past Barista experience is a must.
• Have working knowledge of traditional espresso beverages.
• Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a point of sales system.
• Basic knowledge of 2-group espresso machine and commercial coffee maker.
• Works quickly and efficiently.
• Works well both independently and as a team member.
• Responsible and reliable.
• Outgoing friendly personality.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Ability and willingness to exceed guest expectations.
• Excellent multi-tasking and attention to detail.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
