Maintenance Technician

$28.00 - $30.00 per hour (DOE)
1st & 2nd Shift Available | Shift Differential Where Applicable
Consumer Goods Manufacturer
We’re recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join an established Consumer Goods Manufacturer in Phoenix, AZ.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing production business, maintaining high-speed automated equipment and supporting plant reliability through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do
- Maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults including motors and controls
- Replace bearings, motors and verify repairs on automated systems
- Maintain and troubleshoot mixers, ovens, high-speed automation and conveyor systems
- Perform preventative and reactive maintenance to reduce downtime
- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated equipment issues
- Carry out welding and fabrication work as required
- Support machinery installations, assembly and commissioning
- Read and interpret schematics, manuals and technical documentation
- Ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently at all times
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years’ experience in mechanical/electrical maintenance within a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics and safety documentation
- Experience working in a fast-paced production environment
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding role with PPE requirements
- Experience with lifts or powered industrial equipment is an advantage
