Automation Engineer

Overview

We are looking for an Integration & Automation Engineer to modernize and streamline endpoint provisioning and system integrations across a growing healthcare organization with multiple clinics. This role will play a critical part in migrating from SCCM to Microsoft Intune, building automation workflows, and improving device provisioning processes—reducing setup time from hours to minutes while ensuring security, compliance, and reliability.

This is a highly hands-on position for someone passionate about eliminating inefficiencies, designing scalable solutions, and owning automation from concept to execution.

What You’ll Do

Endpoint Provisioning & Intune

• Lead the optimization and redesign of Microsoft Intune for device management and provisioning.
• Migrate and standardize software packages from SCCM to Intune.
• Redesign endpoint provisioning workflows to reduce setup time from 5–8 hours to 1–2 hours.
• Maintain and enhance Autopilot, configuration profiles, compliance policies, and application deployment strategies.
• Ensure all provisioning processes align with security and healthcare compliance standards.

Automation & Integration

• Identify manual, repetitive IT workflows and automate them using PowerShell, APIs, and other tools.
• Integrate systems across endpoint management, identity, and service management platforms.
• Build scalable processes to support growth across multiple clinic locations.

Service Management & Support Enablement

• Collaborate with IT support teams to ensure automation improves end-user experience and reduces escalations.
• Maintain documentation and runbooks for automated workflows and provisioning standards.
• Assist with or support Freshservice administration (asset management, workflows, integrations, automation rules).

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with IT leadership, systems, EUC, security, and clinic operations teams to align automation efforts with business needs.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for Intune, provisioning, and automation best practices.

What We’re Looking For

Required

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune in a production environment.
• Strong understanding of endpoint provisioning, device lifecycle management, and application deployment.
• Experience building, migrating, and standardizing software packages in Intune.
• Automation experience using PowerShell, scripting, or APIs.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a process-improvement mindset.
• Ability to work independently and remain goal-oriented.
• Strong collaboration skills

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Experience administering or supporting Freshservice (or similar ITSM platforms).
• Background in healthcare, multi-site, or regulated environments.
