Hospice Billing Specialist
Do you have a sharp eye for detail and a passion for accuracy? Join our team as a Hospice Billing Specialist and play a pivotal role in safeguarding the financial strength of our hospice facility. In this position, you’ll ensure that every claim, every record, and every invoice is handled with precision—making a direct impact on our ability to deliver compassionate care.
You must be local to the Tucson office. This is an in-office position, only.
What You’ll Do
Take charge of Medicare, Medicaid, private pay, and insurance billing for hospice services.
Review patient records, verify coding, and resolve discrepancies with confidence.
Follow up on unpaid or denied claims—turning challenges into results.
Manage room and board billing for inpatient and facility care, ensuring accuracy and clarity for patients and families.
Stay ahead of ever-changing regulations and keep our billing practices compliant and efficient.
Collaborate closely with nurses, physicians, social workers, and administrators to support seamless care and accurate documentation.
What We’re Looking For
Experience in hospice billing is required. Medicare billing experience is a big plus.
Knowledge of billing software and EMR systems.
Strong understanding of Medicare and Medicaid regulations.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to juggle multiple priorities.
Confident communicator who can partner with patients, families, insurance companies, and team members.
Commitment to compliance and confidentiality with HIPAA standards.
