Traveling Superintendent - Commercial T.I
$90k+ Base Salary (Significant range depending on experience and interview performance)
We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Traveling Superintendent to join our client's team, specializing in high-end retail tenant improvement projects and restaurant buildouts. As a Traveling Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the construction process, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position requires extensive travel to various locations, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Responsibilities:
Project Oversight:
- Manage all aspects of construction projects, from pre-construction planning to project closeout.
- Ensure adherence to project timelines, budget constraints, and quality specifications.
Site Management:
- Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, and project team members.
Quality Assurance:
- Enforce high-quality standards and ensure that workmanship meets or exceeds client expectations.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any deviations from project specifications.
Budget and Cost Control:
- Monitor project budgets and work closely with the project management team to control costs.
- Provide input on value engineering opportunities without compromising quality.
Client Interaction:
- Foster positive relationships with clients, architects, and other stakeholders.
- Communicate project status, address concerns, and ensure client satisfaction throughout the construction process.
Travel Requirements:
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to travel extensively to project sites as needed.
- Effectively manage time and resources while working in diverse locations.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in high-end retail tenant improvement projects and/or restaurant buildouts.
- Proven track record of successfully completing projects on time and within budget.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, and materials.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
Communication:
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to interact professionally with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
Travel:
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively based on project requirements.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
Compensation
- $90k+ Base Salary (Significant range depending on experience and interview performance)
- Performance based bonuses
