What You'll Do
- Review project proposal/plan to determine time frame, funding margins, and procedures
- Ensure direction, completion, and financial outcome of construction projects from initial budget through project closeout, managing costs, and maximizing profitability
- Resolve daily issues that may arise effectively to ensure a timely, safe, and profitable project
- Resolve all conflicts and misunderstandings in the contract & specification
- Review constructability constraints by identifying value engineering opportunities
- Prepare project reports for management and customers
- Prepare and collect change orders and ensure work is delegated appropriately
- Develop and communicate a QAS/QC plan - including specific responsibilities and procedures
What You'll Need
- Minimum 5 years experience with managing construction projects
- Rebar, concrete, and general contracting experience, highly preferred
- Ability to read and understand contract documents and drawing
- Solid understanding of project costs/cost control with strong financial and business acumen
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal
- Strong scheduling, planning, organizing, problem solving, time managing, and prioritizing work skills
- Proficient in MS Office programs – Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
Your Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following: Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field, preferred
