At Aegis Healthcare we are expanding our Home Health & Hospice Teams and are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual for the role of Occupational Therapist who shares our desire to make healthcare better for everyone.

COMPENSATION: $90/Eval and $80/Visit DOE

STATUS: PRN/Part-Time

SCHEDULE: Schedule Flexibility M-F 8am - 5pm

LOCATION: Openings throughout the West Side, Phoenix , Glendale, and Sun City

Job Summary

• Address patient's performance to support engagement in occupations that affect health, well-being, and life quality
• Select appropriate occupational therapy treatment model, method, and approach to direct the process of interventions
• Apply interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL)
• Teach patient's new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components
• Assess patient's home and other environments and advise on alterations consistent with their needs and capabilities
• Recommend adaptive equipment and train in its use
• Guide and educate family members and caregivers
• Observe, note, and report on progress of long and short-term treatment goals
• Perform other duties as assigned

Desired Skills & Qualifications

• Graduate from a two-year college level program approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association
• Current Licensed, registered of Certified in the state of practice
• Minimum of 2 years related experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with different types of personalities
• Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgement
• Effective verbal and written communication and time management skills
• Valid Driver's License (clean record) and reliable transportation.
• Proof of current auto insurance and registration
• Valid AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card (we can help)
• Current CPR Certification (we can help) and Negative TB Test (we can test)
