Trust and Safety Content Moderator

A client with Kforce is seeking a Trust and Safety Content Moderator to join their team in New York. About the Role: We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Trust & Safety Content Moderator to join our Trust and Safety team. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining the integrity of our platform by reviewing and moderating, investigating user behavior, and enforcing our community guidelines and safety policies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Legal, Policy, and Engineering to help ensure a safe, respectful, and trustworthy environment for all users. Key Responsibilities:

• Review and moderate user-generated content in accordance with internal guidelines and community standards
• Conduct thorough investigations into user behavior, including reports of abuse, harassment, threats, fraud, or other violations
• Apply nuanced judgment to identify contextually complex or borderline cases and escalate appropriately
• Document findings clearly and maintain accurate case records
• Analyze content trends and behavioral patterns to identify risks, gaps, and areas for policy refinement
• Respond to urgent trust and safety escalations in a timely and thoughtful manner
• Contribute to process improvements and tooling enhancements that support the moderation and investigation workflows
• 2+ years of experience in Trust & Safety, content moderation, investigations, or a related field
• Strong understanding of internet culture, content moderation challenges, and online abuse dynamics
• Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills with attention to context and nuance
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to write clear rationales and case summaries
• Comfort working in high-volume, high-stakes environments with exposure to sensitive or potentially disturbing content
• Familiarity with content moderation tools, ticketing systems, or case management platforms (e.g., Zendesk, Salesforce, Hive, etc.)
• Ability to maintain discretion and professionalism in handling confidential matters
• Ability to remain objective regardless of subject matter

• Experience moderating user generated content in a professional setting
• Background in psychology, sociology, criminology, cybersecurity, or a related investigative discipline
• Previous work in a fast-paced tech, social media, or platform company
