What you will do:
The Product Manager - Aftermarket HVAC Parts will take ownership of key initiatives in support of sales growth, gross margin, product availability, and overall product offering . Under the general supervision of the Director of Product Management-Aftermarket Parts, this individual will be an integral team member of the JCI Applied Parts business and is a key contributor to the overall success of strategic growth plans .
How you will do it:
Drives high ly v isib le competitive parts initiatives ensur ing sales, gross margin, timing, deliverables are achieved . This role will initially focus on increasing JCI share-of-wallet opportunities with internal stakeholders.
Collaborates heavily with Product Managers and Commercial Managers with development of new products and product lines to achieve both market and equipment requirements
Evaluates sales forecasts, gross margin achievement, stocking levels for both distribution and operations, product specifications, packaging, and branding
Works closely with product management teams to align the product family roadmap and increase overall aftermarket parts market potential
Partners with engineering, procurement, and operations in sourcing new products , and re- sourcing existing products , t o ensure optimal total cost of ownership
Develops product specifications/requirements in conjunction with the equipment line of business, parts engineering, operations , and sales
Updates and maintains the competitive information library and performs product cross references for new and existing products
Assesses market competitiveness and see ks opportunities for differentiation
Provides recommendations relating to inventory turnover , product availability , and packaging across cross-functional teams by asses sing competitive trends and general market landscape
Collaborates with marketing and pricing teams on product promotions, pricing strategies , and product positioning
What we look for:
Required
4 years' experience in product management, aftermarket sales, or procurement in one of the core product categories is strongly desired ( c ommercial HVAC and industrial refrigeration)
Ability to work collaboratively in a matrixed organization
Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical abilities
Strong presentation and story-telling skills to all levels of management
Project life-cycle management experience
Familiar working within a PDP environment cross functionally
Up to 10% travel
Preferred
Familiarity with commercial HVAC market ecosystem and applied equipment (chillers, air-handling units , and refrigeration) strongly preferred
Mechanical aptitude
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $75,000-117,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
