Director or Senior Director of Clinical Operations
AlediumHR is partnering with a rapidly growing, patient-centered specialty healthcare organization operating four clinic locations across California. We are seeking a seasoned healthcare clinical operations leader who understands outpatient clinical environments and can drive structure, compliance, performance, and accountability across multiple locations.
This is not a director role in title only. This is the senior operational authority across all sites. Preference is for the selected person to be based in California, but will consider remote candidates who live in the Western half of the United States. Travel up to 50% is expected.
Responsibilities:
- Full operational oversight of four California clinics
- Leadership of ~15 in-clinic support team members (non-provider staff)
- Direct partnership with each site's Medical Director
- SOP standardization and governance framework implementation
- Budget ownership and staffing model oversight
- HIPAA, DEA, OSHA, and California regulatory compliance
- KPI development, dashboard reporting, and performance management
- Patient experience excellence at a concierge level
- Expansion readiness for future service lines
Essentials:
- 10+ years in healthcare operations (outpatient or specialty settings required)
- 10+ years leading teams
- 5+ years managing multi-site clinics
- Proven HIPAA program leadership
- Direct DEA-controlled substance oversight experience
- Strong financial and KPI accountability
- Experience serving as an operational partner to Medical Directors
Preferred background includes behavioral health, psychiatry, or specialty outpatient settings, though not required.
This role requires someone who is strategic yet hands-on; a builder, a systems thinker, and a disciplined leader capable of elevating four clinics to operate as a single high-performing enterprise. If you have been involved in a start-up or smaller organization where you controlled the day-to-day operations, this could potentially be a good fit. If you're used to larger organizations with established processes and staff, then probably not.
