Production Associate

Job Description

As a Production Associate, you will be responsible for transferring, stocking, loading, and unloading materials for the production lines. The materials you'll handle include diffusers, holders, retainers, initiators, o-rings, end caps, sleeves, canisters, filters, tubes, disks, foil seals, springs, support barrels, shorting clips, labels, and generant. You may also be required to check, correct, or perform rework of inflators and carry out quality procedures and audits, including dimensional checks and visual inspections as needed.

Responsibilities

• Transfer, stock, load, and unload materials for production lines.
• Handle a variety of materials, such as diffusers, holders, and retainers.

• Conduct visual inspections as required.

Essential Skills

• Previous experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to stand and walk for 8 hours per day, as there are no sitting work areas.
• Comfortable dealing with explosives.
• Tech-savvy with experience using automated equipment.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 40 lbs regularly.

Work Environment

You will work in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment with automated production equipment dedicated to making airbag inflators. Please note that items such as lighters, matches, cigarettes, chewing tobacco, vape pens, or e-cigarettes are not allowed on-site and must remain in your car. Work shifts include: 1st shift (6 AM 2:30 PM), 2nd shift (2 PM 10:30 PM), and 3rd shift (10 PM 6:30 AM). The first day will be from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, after which you will commence your designated shift. Be prepared to work 6-7 days per week, with a rotating schedule that includes 6 days on and 2 consecutive days off. Regular work schedules are Monday to Friday, but weekend work may be required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.55/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
