Residential Roofing Estimator - West Coast Roofing (Arizona)

Are you an experienced residential roofing estimator looking to join a reputable, growth-focused company? West Coast Roofing is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Residential Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates, proposals, and material take-offs for our residential roofing projects.

Location: Arizona

Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Compensation: Salary or Hourly + Commission/Bonus on awarded jobs

Key Responsibilities:

• Review blueprints, drawings, and specifications for residential roofing projects
• Perform precise plan take-offs for shingles, tile, metal, and low-slope systems
• Prepare detailed estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs
• Develop competitive project proposals and bids
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Project Management teams to support bidding and job handoff
• Assist in scheduling material deliveries and crew labor based on estimates
• Solicit and analyze vendor and subcontractor pricing
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing
• Prepare clear, professional homeowner proposals and document all estimate details

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of residential roofing estimating experience
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and plan take-offs
• Strong knowledge of shingles, tile, metal, and low-slope roofing systems
• Excellent math and analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective communication and negotiation skills with homeowners, vendors, and team members
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
• Familiarity with estimating and project management software (Proline, Active Take-Off, or similar) preferred
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to travel to job sites
• Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple bids simultaneously
• Professional presentation and homeowner-facing communication
