Overview of the Position:

We are looking for a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible General Surgeon to provide surgical care for a diverse patient population. This is an opportunity to work in a highly supportive, well-established practice with access to advanced medical technologies and equipment.

Job Title: General Surgeon

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Hours & Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, occasional weekends depending on patient needs

Travel Required: No

Salary / Hourly Rate: $320,000 - $450,000 annually (based on experience and certifications)

Job Summary:

The General Surgeon will perform a wide range of surgical procedures, both elective and emergency, with an emphasis on ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes. The role includes preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care, as well as collaborating with other physicians and healthcare providers to offer the best care plans for patients.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform general surgery procedures, including but not limited to appendectomies, hernia repairs, cholecystectomies, and laparoscopic surgeries
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat surgical conditions in both elective and urgent settings
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive treatment plans
• Provide patient education regarding surgical options and postoperative care
• Maintain detailed and accurate medical records
• Stay current with medical and surgical advancements through continued education
• Adhere to all medical protocols and safety standards to ensure patient well-being
• Participate in department meetings, quality improvement efforts, and training programs

Prerequisites / License & Certification Requirements:

• Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Board Certification or Eligibility in General Surgery
• Active and unrestricted Arizona state medical license (or ability to obtain one)
• Current DEA registration
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• Strong surgical skills and clinical judgment
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
