Automotive Auction - Sales Manager Position
Join our team at Dealers Auto Auction of the Southwest, a locally-owned auction with big business capabilities and the best customer service available anywhere. We are seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to lead our growing sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for all phases of the sales cycle, with a focus on building new relationships, driving business in new accounts, and maintaining our reputation of excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and continually train the Dealers Auto Auction Sales Team.
- Promote Dealers Auto Auction amongst franchise automotive dealerships, independent used vehicle dealers, and wholesale buyers.
- Provide constant sales and technical support to current users.
- Identify, manage, develop, and follow up on leads.
- Manage and update leads and current client accounts.
- Respond to sales inquiries and concerns by phone, electronically, or in person.
- Establish and maintain an in-depth working knowledge of the current automotive wholesale industry.
- Assist in the development of an equitable sales commission/incentive program.
- Provide management with scheduled reports detailing analytics/revenue performance of the Sales Team.
- Negotiate Contracts in collaboration with management.
- Participate in sales and industry events.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of proven field sales experience and management tenure.
- Experience in the automotive industry, especially regarding inventory management solutions, is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or equivalent is preferred.
- Expert in the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with current and prospective clients.
- Demonstrate the ability to achieve sales quotas.
- Proven experience in key accounts and strategic sales.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, written, and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications.
- Confident working in a technology focused environment.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Independent, self-driven and a team player.
- Willingness to travel daily within the region.
