PCU Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Sierra Vista, Arizona 85635
• Assignment Type: Travel nursing contract
• Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Step-Down Unit
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 8/25/2025 – End: 11/24/2025)
• Orientation: Every 2nd & 4th Monday
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,910 - $1,960 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license (Arizona or compact state)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or step-down nursing role
• Current and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to commit to 12-hour night shifts and a 13-week travel nursing contract
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient care skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities in a healthcare setting

PCU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, responding promptly to changes
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by healthcare providers
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and post-discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
