Special Education Teacher – Phoenix, Arizona

Schedule: Full-Time
School Year: 2026–2027 (Late July 2026 – May 21, 2027)
Grade Levels: K–Junior High

ProCare Therapy is seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers to support a school district in Phoenix, Arizona for the 2026–2027 school year . The district has multiple full-time openings across resource and self-contained classrooms, providing opportunities for educators with a variety of experience and grade-level preferences.

Position Overview

The Special Education Teacher will provide specialized instruction and support to students receiving special education services while collaborating with general education teachers, administrators, and related service providers. Candidates with experience in either resource or self-contained settings are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction and academic support for students receiving special education services
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals
• Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and related service providers
• Participate in IEP meetings and maintain compliance with state and district requirements
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students

Position Details

• Location: Phoenix, AZ
• Schedule: Full-Time
• School Year: Late July 2026 – May 21, 2027
• Openings Available:
  • Resource Teacher – Middle School
  • Self-Contained Teacher – Kindergarten through 2nd Grade
  • Self-Contained Teacher – Junior High
  • Resource Teacher – 3rd–4th Grade (Caseload: Approximately 20 students)
  • Resource Teacher – Kindergarten through 3rd Grade (Caseload: Approximately 8 students)
  • Self-Contained Teacher – Kindergarten through 2nd Grade (Caseload: Approximately 6 students)

Requirements

• Active Arizona Special Education Teaching License (or eligibility to obtain)
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field
• Previous school-based experience preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
