Outside Sales Mortgage Loan Officer - Remote

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Outside Sales Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering personalized mortgage solutions and providing exceptional service to members. With access to a diverse suite of mortgage products, including FNMA (Sold), Affordable Housing Programs, Down Payment Assistance Programs, Portfolio ARM Loans, Construction Perm Loans, as well as FHA and VA loans through brokered channels, you will be able to offer flexible financing solutions to meet the unique financial needs of each member.

As an Outside Sales MLO, your primary focus will be on generating first mortgage loans through outside sales and relationship-building efforts. This includes establishing strong connections within the real estate industry, such as with Realtors, Builders, Lenders, and other key influencers. You will work outside of the main office locations, focusing on engaging with potential clients and members.

Key Responsibilities:

Proactively establish and nurture relationships with external referral sources, ensuring a continuous flow of business.
Generate new mortgage loan opportunities through networking, outreach, and relationship-building with real estate agents, builders, and other business partners.
Engage directly with potential members and consumers, educating them about available mortgage products and guiding them through the early stages of the loan process.
Represent the organization professionally within the community to build brand recognition and establish a strong, positive reputation.
Act as a trusted advisor, helping clients achieve their homeownership dreams and providing continuous support throughout the mortgage journey.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth and efficient mortgage process, minimizing administrative involvement.
Stay up-to-date on market trends, industry changes, and competitive products to better serve clients and support business growth.
Adhere to internal policies, procedures, and federal regulations in the mortgage loan origination process.
Identify new markets and prospects for residential real estate loans.
Share insights on legislative or regulatory changes that may impact lending policies.
Promote and cross-sell other products and services to meet client needs as appropriate.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education & Experience Requirements:

High School Diploma (Required)
Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
Minimum 2 years of experience in residential lending (Required)
1 to 3 years of similar or related experience (Preferred)

Skills & Qualifications:

In-depth knowledge of loan origination and closing requirements for conventional, construction, and non-conforming portfolio loan programs.
Strong sales orientation, with the ability to make proactive sales calls and engage with the community.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Expertise in mortgage products such as Fannie Mae, Jumbo, Home Equity, and Portfolio Lending.
A successful track record in mortgage origination, with a proven, transferable referral network.
The ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic mortgage environment while embracing positive change.
