Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned General Superintendent to lead and oversee all field operations related to drywall and paint across multiple job sites. This role is critical to maintaining our reputation for quality, timeliness, and professionalism. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with deep construction experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage crews, schedules, and site logistics in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily field operations for drywall and paint across multiple residential and multi-family projects
- Coordinate with project managers, builders, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow
- Manage and mentor field superintendents, foremen, and trade crews
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control, safety compliance, and adherence to plans/specs
- Resolve field issues promptly and effectively to avoid delays or rework
- Monitor labor productivity, material usage, and job progress
- Enforce company standards, safety protocols, and builder requirements
- Support scheduling, manpower planning, and resource allocation
- Communicate regularly with internal teams and builder representatives
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in residential drywall and/or paint supervision
- Proven leadership in managing multiple crews and job sites simultaneously
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, materials, and trade coordination
- Ability to read blueprints and scopes of work
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Proficiency in mobile field apps and scheduling tools
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Phoenix-area builders and production home environments
- Multi-family construction experience
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
