The campus is a safe and supportive environment that supports youth, ages 5 to 17, who are experiencing emotional, behavioral, or substance abuse challenges. Our on-site day school is year-round with 225 instructional/grading/in-service days, 35 preset holiday break days, 19 additional float days, and accumulated sick time ( _number of days are subject to change with school year_ ). We work with students on social/communication skills, coping mechanisms, verbal/physical aggression, and emotional/behavioral challenges that impact overall functioning. As a **Special Education Teacher,** you will develop lesson plans and proficiently deliver curriculum using available digital teaching methods and educational models that are aligned with state standards. Our classroom sizes range from 8-12 students with a 6:1 student-to-staff ratio, including 1-2 direct care professional staff members in the classroom for additional support. Teachers assess student performance objectives on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required. Our Teachers have immediate access to school support staff, teaching materials and supplies, and a state of the art database with tracking capabilities to help with data accumulation.
