Job Position: Recycling Yard Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Phoenix, AZ 85009

Contract to Hire

Pay Range: $25-$32 per hour

Schedule: 11:00am-7:30pm with some Saturdays

Job Description:

• Reading blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures

• Installing, aligning, dismantling and moving stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces and generators according to layout plans using hand and power tools

• Operating hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks and tractors to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery

• Inspecting and examining machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions

• Installing, troubleshooting and maintaining power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems

• Cleaning, lubricating and performing other routine maintenance work on equipment.

• Assembling machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment

Qualifications:

• Experience working safely in a heavy industrial setting

• Must be comfortable working indoors, outdoors, and exposure to the elements

• Proficient in welding

• Able to conduct and complete scheduled Preventative Maintenance tasks and checklists

• Able to complete work orders and ensure any parts that are used are documented for reordering

• Eager to learn the proper operation and diagnostic capabilities of state-of-the-art equipment

• Able to work independently and stay focused and on-task

• Able to prioritize urgency based on production requirements
