New Horizon Community Care (NHCC) is a non-profit agency specializing in outpatient behavioral health services, serving at-risk youth, teens, and adults all around the valley.

 

Established in 2001, NHCC has developed a programming structure that challenges, encourages, and empowers clients to enhance their self-esteem and modify their behaviors in order to become productive community members. Clients participate in activities, groups, and life lessons that help them assess their internal strengths, capabilities and improve decision-making skills.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Team Member to join our Corporate Office team in Tempe. This role will provide administrative support across departments with a strong focus on assisting the admin team. The ideal candidate will have some knowledge of billing processes and auditing and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to billing, leadership, and program staff.
  • Assist with paperwork compliance, audits, and reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate and organized documentation.
  • Manage correspondence and assist with office operations.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficiency and accuracy in daily tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Prior administrative experience preferred; healthcare/mental health setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical billing, mental health compliance strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Medical EHR systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work on-site at our Corporate Office in Tempe (this is not a remote position).

Schedule & Location:

  • Full-time, Monday - Friday. (Hours 8 am - 5 pm)

  • Corporate Office in Tempe, AZ.

Must Haves:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience working in an Administrative Setting.
  • Ability to complete criminal history self-disclosure affidavits and obtain an Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) unrestricted Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card (state and federal background checks required).
  • Must pass a drug test and comply with NHCC's drug-free workplace policy.

Salary:

  • $18.00 - 21.00 per hour based on education and experience
