Our client, a non-profit, is seeking a Part-time Finance Director to join its team! You will be responsible for the effective management and profitable operation of your assigned branch office.
Shift: Tuesday through Saturday, 9am–4pm core hours, you can choose your work days
Position Type: Part-time (16–20 hours/week)
Hybrid/Remote/In-Person: Hybrid
Pay/Salary: $32–$40/hour or equivalent salary, flexible
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the approval process for all loans and lines of credit
- Oversee the flow of cash and financial investments
- Analyze information to assess current and future financial statuses
- Review costs for optimal budget planning
- Evaluate reporting systems and collection procedures
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in financial branch management, financial services, or other related fields
- Knowledge of common banking practices
- Strong leadership qualities
- Ability to work under pressure
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles, standards and regulations
- Experience in working with accounting software and databases
- Strong time and task management skills.
- Detail and deadline-oriented
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Comfort with face-to-face relational interaction with human beings under all conditions, irrespective of difference, conflict, or perception
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
- Willingness to continuously learn, integrate diverse skills, and pursue continuous advancement of communication, presentation, and interaction skills
- Willingness to jump in at the deep end of the pool, but systematically plan
- Respect for economic and cultural diversity, experience working with diverse groups of people
- Computer and other standard office equipment skills sufficient to communicate and advertise, track information, create planning documents and presentations, email, make website postings, etc.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree completed in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field, with coursework in financial statement analysis and (minimum) intermediate accounting
- 10 years of experience in accounting and reporting from small business financial systems required, and some form of credential in Xero and other platforms in use by the Foundation preferred
- Experience in Excel with significant skills in excel formatting and basic formula use required
